Choosing the Right Graphics: Better Customer Outcomes, Better Margins

Marty Mares

Mold in Graphic Systems

Customers do not always know which graphic or identification method is right for their rotomolded product. They know what they want it to look like and what information it needs to carry, but they may not understand how material, environment, service life and use affect the final choice. If the conversation starts and ends with artwork and price, the rotomolder can inherit the problems when the graphic fails.

That creates an opportunity. A rotomolder who can help the customer make a better decision becomes more than a part supplier. The molder can reduce rework, prevent avoidable field failures, protect the customer’s brand and exposure to liability while recommending a higher-value solution that fits the job. That is a better experience—and it creates a stronger, more profitable customer relationship.

This 45-minute workshop provides a practical, repeatable method rotomolders can use during quoting, product development, customer review, graphic application, and post-molding. It starts with questions that matter: What is the purpose of the graphic? Where will the product be used? What will it be exposed to? It ends on the topic of post-mold adhesive cleaning and how this issue has been solved with a new graphic technology innovation.
